NUMBER 13...A GOOD RUN...LONGING FOR MORE

Last month saw the end of my 6 part story NUMBER 13 int he pages of Dark Horse Presents. Hopefully many of you picked up the magazine, but if not, it's not too late to get them. It was a lot of fun, but after I finished the last chapter, I felt a bit empty. Empty because there is so much more this story that I didn't get to tell. So in a few months, I hope to have big news regarding NUMBER 13!

INTRODUCING DANA SHUKARTSI!

Last year I teamed up with fellow POPGUNNERS Adam P. Knave and D.J. Kirkpride, on an un-named project. As my schedule got more complicated I wasn't able to ink my own artwork. D.J. and Adam set out on a mission to find an inker, but not just any inker but an inker that could really enhance my artwork. Thus they found DANA SHUKARTSI. She is an up and coming inker in the industry. And from what I see, she's got a very long career ahead of her.

DARK HORSE PRESENTS #2!!

DARK HORSE PRESENTS #2 hit the stands yesterday. I hope that all of you had a chance to pick it up. My five part story, NUMBER 13, made its debut. It's always great to see months of hard work to finally see the light of day. I'm really happy how it all turned out.

BLACK ADAM 2.0

CHELLOO!!!

I've been extremely busy these last few months. I just haven't had the time to post any new artwork or warm-ups. I have a pretty big project that I've been working on and I'm really excited about it. I can't say anything about it at the moment....but just stay tuned.

Also don't forget to get DARK HORSE PRESENTS #2, which will be out on JUNE 22! Chapter 1 of NUMBER 13, will make it's debut. Also stay tuned for more plans that I have with this project!

I'll get back to posting warm-ups and hopefully debut my new project in a few short weeks!

It's been a few a week since I came back from Wizard World Anaheim. The show was a totally different experience for me. It was unlike any show I've been to. I shared a booth with Eisner Award winning editor D.J. Kirkbride and other POPGUN contributors. It was good company.

It's been a few weeks since I got back from Seattle, Wa at the ECCC. I had a blast. Met so many people and met up with old friends I haven't seen for a while. Check the few pics I posted. I'm definitely returning next year.

It's been really fun designing the Seven Dragons. I wanted to get totally away from the normal kungfu type of designs and go way out there. Well, I think I've half way achieved that.

Well I changed the name to my new sketchbook (out in March). I guess I just wasn't feeling THE HIVE, so I renamed it KILLA BEES. I like that title much better, with a better cover design. THE HIVE

Hey Guys and Gals,

Well, the work is finally finished on my new sketchbook. This is my very first one. It's called THE HIVE. I wanted a different name that had nothing to do with art, sketching, etc. etc. Something that could possibly stand out. The cover are designs I did a few years ago for a possible animated movie/tv show. I like the artwork so much that I decided to use it for the cover, hence the title.

Anyway, it will be making its debut at the Emerald City Con in Seattle. It's 52 pages, black and white, and will only cost you $6!

I'll have it available for online ordering soon.

Now to start work on my full color ART BOOK, which hopefully be out this summer!
